Makes no sense imho, with UMA coming our way the last place I want the podcast client to reside on is the client. There is no such thing as ‘the device’. Identy is the only core. People, forget the clients, forget the local storage and eventually… forget podcasting, not even mentioning the even more rididucolous idea of videocasting. Today I use podcasts streams as an enhanced bookmarking system in my RSS reader, no more, no less. I have no notion of such a thing as ‘the device’. It’s just not fit for what is being build out there. The key question is: where will your identity reside and who will manage it. Last.fm, right.
