Brazilians have this thing of mixing the worst singles ever. Of all things, music is probably the biggest cultural bridge to cross, for both sides. The whole dilemma starts already with the very defintion of styles. And until now I failed to label the style of music I really crave; it’s an eclectic mix of jungle, drum and base, house, trip hop, ambient and hip hop. But wouldn’t you agree tagging musicians like Messaive Attack, The Orb, Underworld, Truby Trio, Groove Corporation or Kruder and Dorfmeister under ‘dub’. Yes, dub.

Well, the good thing is that I missed a place in Rio: Casa da Matriz, the homebase of the local collective called DigitalDubs. But being Rio it might already been closed down by next week.
