Yesterday I received a mail referring to “Samba do Raiz”; Brazilians use adjectives like these all the time: Samba do Raiz, Carioca da Gema… I personally don’t like eggyolks, I prefer people who seek new ingredients for mashups. Which is why most Samba to me is not a music style; it’s a dead end street with no innovation. Maybe the roots of Samba evolved into… Deephouse?
