[...] Bobby pointed me to the fact that the article judging the pilots of the Legacy barely a week after the crash where now the truth reveals to be quite the opposite appeared in Isto E and not Veija. [...]

It was Isto E and not Veja that published that horrid piece that shamelessly and falserly accused the pilots of joyriding in the aircraft.

21st century...

...and most of the world population still thinks that defending their two or three colors is more important than humanity, reason and common sense.

i feel shame too, as a world citizen.

This is only the top of a enormous iceberg. Unfortunately the true brazilian´s problems are deeply under this bloody ocean. The fact is that Brazil has been an orphan country, ever since Luis Inácio Lula da Silva became its president. All this tragedy cant be dropped over the young american pilots, if they made something wrong, that was for sure because of aeronautic controller´s terrible quality. Brazil has been living in this caos since 3 or 4 years ago. The tragedy with the Boeng and Legacy only came to wake up a giant hidden vulcano. That is a shame, but that is the truth. And the truth has to be accepted in order it can be changed. I am brazilian, and for sure, this is the worst plane crash we´ve ever seen in our country. Most of brazilian are chocked with this happenings and we know that we dont live in a perfect country. All we dont want is that accidents like that happens again, and that justice be done, no matter who the guilties are. Thanks for your blog,it has been very important to help people to understand about the real facts.

I agree with all of this. but, Joe Sharkey shouldn't have fanned the flames as much as he did in the beginning. It really pissed alot of Brazilians off, and it made the situation worse in the beginning. Not saying he's not right, I just think he should have been a little more diplomatic about it.
