The girl of Ipanema
17 09 2007We didn’t count on many people really coming from abroad to our wedding in Rio de Janeiro on November 10th. Many told us they would try to come, but we were sceptical on the number of people actually making that come true. Not many people have ever traveled to South America, let be Portuguese speaking Brazil.
Until two months ago people starting sending us confirmation of their flights, every week more of them. Today 57 people are flying in from Europe and South Africa.
But one person remained pending, until she mailed tonight: “… Vlucht geboekt. Ik kom aan op woensdagochtend 7 november en vertrek terug op maandagnamiddag…”. Woeha, 3 nights to learn Claudia dance Samba before the wedding !
Que felicidade !

Who says I’m not already a Samba specialist!!!
Such a pitty that I can’t make it to your wedding
Would love to see Kathy doing the samba… and Claudia
Anyway… I’ll be waiting whe you get back. We’ll have a small celebration in that other Carnaval City
Karel.
Just came across this via my Google Alerts.
I’m getting married in Rio in July 2008. I’m also imagining that many people on our guest list will not make it…but from what you’ve said I am now wondering!
Boa sorte com tudo…
Oi Alexandra. Como vai.
July 2008, getting very near, preparation will soon be starting.
Reading your Blog; the company will be as international. We’re in SA mid december; maybe we should hop over to Mozambique.
