Miriam Leitao on the IMF presidency of Christiane Lagarde

I read her columns daily as from 2003 on, she has 271.000 followers on Twitter, Geert Noels has 8.000 (that matches up to the population delta Belgium/Brazil…).

True, everyone is laughing out loud with Europe this days, even Brazil, watch this clip from 1:15 – 1:45

And this was even before Sarkozy and Merkel pulled out there pathetic “Greece will be OK” act.

You can watch the full interview with Miriam Leitao here:

Miriam is right of course, what the IMF is handing out towards Europe is unseen, quasi unconditionally. Of course Brazilians and Latin Americans in general find it mind blowing the the presidency of the IMF would be in hand of a European, while its the Europeans themselves who are receiving. Could you imagine a Brazilian heading the IMF in the 90s?

I’ll just leave you with today’s article of John Mauldin touching upon the question Could the Eurozone break up?”

As I’ve been pointing out for months now: the certainty that Greece will step out of the Euro currency is a given.
